Marisela Rumberg is CARU Language  Services Owner and Founder. A certified Spanish-English interpreter and translator who specializes in simultaneous interpretation, Marisela was born and raised in Mexico and holds a degree in International Economics. With vast experience in the areas of education, business, environment/conservation, tourism and art, she is also a language coach and interpreter trainer. 

Interesting fact: Marisela is also an international award-winning Fiber Artist in residence at the Workhouse Arts Center in Lorton, VA.

Maria was born and raised in Monterrey, Mexico. She has a bachelor’s degree in economics from the Technological Institute of Monterrey (ITESM). 

For several years she has been volunteering as a Spanish tutor. She is an interpreter and translator for different industries. She focuses in the areas of finance and education.

Currently, Maria is living in Haymarket, Virginia, with her husband, her 2 kids and her dog.

Patty Barbery is an interpreter, with over twenty years of professional experience. She is also a computer programmer. She has worked in numerous international organizations such as Fairfax County Public Schools, as well as the US State Department and US Agency for International Development. 

Patty holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. She has been trained in interpretation/translation in Washington DC and Fairfax, VA. She is fluent in English, Spanish, and basic French.

Isabel was born and raised in Peru. She has a degree in Bilingual Assistant Manager from E.L.A. Private Institute, Lima – Peru. She is a native speaker in Spanish, fluent in English and basic Portuguese.

Isabel has 10 years of experience as a translator/interpreter. She has worked as an administrative assistant translating documents from Spanish to English and vice versa, as a customer service representative and as an inventory and data entry associate. In 2017 she began working for Fairfax County Public Schools as multilingual interpreter.

Abdul H. Frough was born and grew up in Kabul, Afghanistan. He graduated from the Faculty of Languages and Literature English Department from Kabul University. He came to the United States in 2016. Abdul has worked for multiple national and international organizations, and has 10 years of experience in translation and interpretation. Currently, he also works for Fairfax County Public Schools as an interpreter and as substitute teacher. 

Abdul is interested to learn more about other cultures and traditions. During his free time he loves to watch movies, listen to music, play chess and go walking, running, and biking. 

Yellia Huang Seanor was born and raised in Taipei, Taiwan. She is currently pursuing her Master's in Foreign Languages, concentration in Chinese Language from George Mason University. Her undergraduate degree is from Sacred Heart University where she earned a Bachelor of Science with a concentration in Finance. She also holds a degree in Food and Beverage Operations and Hotel Management from Institut Hôtelier «CÉSAR RITZ», Switzerland. Yellia is also a Mandarin Chinese Interpreter for Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS)  since 2018. Prior, she taught Mandarin Chinese at Adult & Community Education (ACE) and Global Plus in FCPS. She has worked for the Catholic Charities of Fairfield County (Connecticut) as a translator for Chinese adoptions, and has taught Chinese cuisine and Mandarin Chinese at Fairfield Continuing Education in Connecticut. Yellia's passion is teaching and everything in Mandarin Chinese!
